What this is
Reflexed uses Stripe to verify you and send payments from your sales. You’ll complete a short, secure Stripe flow, then return to Reflexed.
Overview of the flow (what you’ll do)
Start in Reflexed → click Enable payments → Continue in Stripe.

📸 Picture: “Let’s get started” screen with the Email field circled.Choose business type: Individual / Sole proprietor or Company.
📸 Picture: “Tell us about your business” with the Business type dropdown circled.Verify personal details (KYC): legal name, DOB, home address, phone, and (US) last 4 of SSN. Your address must match your ID.

📸 Picture: “Business details” with Industry and Website fields circled.Add a destination for payments:
Bank account (Standard Payments) — connect instantly via your bank (Plaid), or
Enter bank details manually — Stripe sends a $0.01 micro-deposit with a short code to confirm, or
Debit card (Instant Payments, fee) — add a debit card to receive funds in minutes when eligible.
📸 Picture: “Select an account for payments” with bank tiles; “Agree and continue” popup circled. Also show “Enter bank details manually instead”.
Submit & return to Reflexed. Stripe shows status (Verified / Pending / Action needed).
After you finish (what might happen next)
Verified: you’re ready to receive payments.
Pending review: Stripe is checking your info (usually quick). You can keep selling; we release funds once verification clears.
Action needed: Stripe needs something specific (for example, clearer ID, proof of address, company document, or owner details). You’ll see a banner in Reflexed with a Resume in Stripe link.
If Stripe requests documents
Photo ID: passport/driver’s license/national ID (front + back if applicable). Must be clear, unedited, and in Latin characters.
Proof of address: bank statement or utility bill showing your name and address.
Business docs (Company): EIN/registration certificate; beneficial-owner info if asked.
Bank proof (rare): official PDF statement or bank letter. No screenshots.
When you get paid
First sale: we may hold funds until the order shows delivered (or in-transit for some lanes).
After your first cleared payment: funds generally become available once tracking shows in-transit.
Standard Payments to bank: typically arrive in 1–4 business days after funds are released to Stripe.
Instant Payments to debit card (fee): arrive within minutes when eligible.
Notes
We may place temporary holds or reserves if risk signals appear (for example, sudden spikes, high-value items, disputes).
Local pickup: funds release after the buyer marks received.
Banking holidays and weekends can delay bank posting times.
Make sure your info matches
Use your legal name (not a nickname).
The home address must match your government ID.
If you’re a Company, use the registered legal name and EIN; add beneficial owners when Stripe asks.
If your bank name doesn’t match your legal/DBA name, Stripe may ask for bank proof.
Fixing common issues fast
Name/address mismatch → edit in the Stripe link shown in Reflexed and re-submit.
Can’t find my bank → choose Enter bank details manually instead. Watch for the $0.01 micro-deposit code to verify.
Micro-deposit didn’t arrive → wait 1–2 business days, check the exact account, then re-try; your statement descriptor includes the short code.
ID upload keeps failing → use a flat, well-lit photo, no glare, full edges visible.
Changed business type (Individual ↔ Company) → open the Stripe link and update; Stripe may request new docs.
New bank account → update in Stripe; we’ll route new payments there once verified.
Compliance you should know
KYC/AML: identity checks are required by law. Stripe securely handles your data; Reflexed never sees your full bank credentials.
INFORM Consumers Act (US): high-volume sellers of new goods may be asked for tax ID and bank confirmation and must keep info current (we’ll notify you in-product).
Tax reporting: if you meet your country’s threshold (e.g., US 1099-K rules), Stripe/Reflexed will collect the required tax details.
FAQ
Do I have to use Stripe to get paid?
Yes. Reflexed Payments runs on Stripe. You must complete verification to receive payments.
Can I sell before verification is done?
Yes, but funds may be held until your account is verified and the order meets the release condition (for example, in-transit or delivered).
What’s the difference between Standard and Instant Payments?
Standard sends money to your bank account (typical bank timing). Instant sends to an eligible debit card for a small fee; it arrives in minutes.
Why was my verification rejected?
Most failures are mismatched names/addresses, blurry ID, or missing business owners. Re-open the Stripe link, correct the fields, and re-upload clear documents.
Can I use a savings account or prepaid card?
Use a checking account in your name (or business name). For Instant Payments you’ll need an eligible debit card.
How do I change my bank later?
From Seller Hub → Payments → Manage in Stripe → update bank or debit card and re-verify if asked.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Your bank credentials are handled by Stripe. Reflexed only receives the status and the last-4/account metadata needed to route payments.
