Before you start

You can open the Payments page, list items, make a sale, ship, and see the money land in your Reflexed balance even if you haven’t finished Stripe onboarding. To move those funds to your bank or debit card, you must complete onboarding.

How Reflexed Payments works

  1. Buyer pays on Reflexed. The order shows in Payments as Payment pending.

  2. You ship with tracking. When tracking updates, status moves to In transit.

  3. Funds become available.

    • First successful payment: typically when the order shows delivered.

    • After that: when tracking shows in transit.

    • Local pickup: when the buyer marks received.

  4. Send money out.

    • Standard Payments to a bank account. Typical bank posting time: 1–4 business days after funds are released.

    • Instant Payments to an eligible debit card, in minutes, with a small fee.

  5. Adjustments. Refunds, disputes, and fees are settled from your balance. If your balance is negative, future earnings cover it or Stripe may debit your bank.

Set up and verify (one time)

  • Start in Reflexed → Enable paymentsContinue in Stripe.

  • Choose Individual or Company and enter the requested personal or business details.

  • Add a destination for payments: connect your bank instantly or enter it manually and confirm the small micro-deposit code. Add a debit card if you want Instant Payments.

  • If Stripe flags Action needed, follow the link shown in Reflexed to upload a clear photo ID, proof of address, or business documents.

See the detailed page: Reflexed Payments — Account verification & bank setup (Stripe).

When money is available

  • First payment: after delivery on the first completed order.

  • Ongoing payments: after in-transit scan on shipped orders.

  • Local pickup: after the buyer marks received.

  • We may place temporary holds or reserves if risk signals appear, or while Stripe reviews updated info.

Standard vs Instant

  • Standard Payments

    • Destination: checking account in your name or business name

    • Arrival: 1–4 business days after funds are released to Stripe

    • No extra fee from Reflexed

  • Instant Payments

    • Destination: eligible debit card

    • Arrival: minutes after you request the transfer

    • Fee applies per transfer

    • Availability depends on Stripe eligibility

Fees and adjustments

  • Instant Payments have a small fee per transfer.

  • Refunds deduct from your balance. If the balance is short, the remainder comes from future earnings.

  • Disputes may place the transaction amount on hold until resolved.

  • Currency conversion may apply when you sell and settle in different currencies.

Change bank or debit card

  • Seller Hub → PaymentsManage in Stripe.

  • Update the bank account or add/remove a debit card.

  • If Stripe requests a new verification, complete it to resume transfers.

Regions and methods

  • Reflexed Payments is available in supported countries and currencies. Availability, timing, and Instant eligibility vary by region and bank.

Taxes and reporting

  • If you meet your local reporting threshold, you’ll be asked for tax details. Forms are issued by Stripe or Reflexed per local rules.

Security and privacy

  • Bank connections and credentials are handled by Stripe. Reflexed sees payment status and the minimum data needed to route transfers, not your full bank login.

Troubleshooting quick fixes

  • Name or address mismatch → open Manage in Stripe, edit to match your legal ID, and resubmit.

  • Bank not listed → choose Enter bank details manually and confirm the micro-deposit code.

  • Micro-deposit missing → wait 1–2 business days, confirm account number, then retry.

  • ID won’t verify → upload a sharp, glare-free photo of the full document, front and back if required.

  • Transfer late → check weekends and bank holidays; Standard transfers post on banking days only.

FAQs

Can I sell before onboarding?
Yes. You can list, sell, ship, and see funds in your Reflexed balance. You must finish Stripe onboarding to move money to your bank or debit card.

Do I need a business to get paid?
No. Choose Individual if you’re not registered as a company.

Can I use a savings account or prepaid card?
Use a checking account for Standard Payments. For Instant Payments you need an eligible debit card.

Why is my first payment slower?
New accounts often release the first payment after delivery. After that, releases occur when the order is in transit.

What if the buyer refuses delivery or a refund is issued?
We settle refunds and adjustments from your balance. If the balance is negative, future earnings will cover it.
